Relief veterinarians that we trust to take care of our GoldenView patients when Dr. Ahlgrim is out of the office are hard to find. We share Dr. Hazel with other veterinary hospitals around the Denver Metro area that also need her, and appreciate the compassionate way she takes care of GVH patients when she is here.

Meet our Team Members

Taylor Peek | Practice Manager

Taylor grew up in Buffalo, New York but moved to Colorado after high school to pursue a veterinary career. While her career path has taken her through the chiropractic and dental fields, she always finds herself back in the veterinary world where she is happiest!

Taylor was recently married to her husband, Ben. She spends her free time drawing, painting, spending time with friends and family, or playing the piano. She has a boxer mix named Allie, a german shepherd mix named Wylee and a tom cat named Hamilton. She is happy to be a part of the GVH team and loves getting to know all of our wonderful clients and their companions!

Jordyn | Boarding Coordinator

We are happy to welcome Jordyn to our team as our new boarding coordinator! Jordyn was born in Colorado and enjoys hiking with her dog, Blue, and her fiance.

She is here to care for your friends while you’re away and to keep them comfortable during their stay. She has always loved caring for animals and takes great pride in being able to care for yours. She will become fast friends with your feathered, scaled, or furry companion!

Amanda | Certified Veterinary Nurse & Nurse Supervisor

Amanda graduated from Bel Rea institute of Animal Technology in 2012 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2013. She joined the GVH family in 2012 and is valued for the technical skills and ability to work with all kinds of animals.

Amanda is happily married and has one daughter and one son. She also has cats and a guinea pig at home! She is a US Army veteran, having served for 8 years. She enjoys working on cars, art, playing with her kids and being active outside. She loves being a part of the GVH team because of all of our amazing clients and patients!

Ray | Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Ray moved from Texas to Colorado in November of 2017. She loves all of the outdoor activities that our state has to offer, including rafting, snowboarding and rock climbing.

Ray has a Colorado mutt and one cat. She wants to pursue her veterinary medicine career, and hopes to have her own wildlife rehabilitation center someday. Her favorite part of working at GVH is getting to work with unique animals! Every day is different and exciting.

Emily | Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Emily grew up right here in Golden and joined our GVH team this year. She is one of the nurses you might see when bringing your pet in for an appointment. She also helps in the lab and pharmacy.

Emily has three cats, four dogs, six horses, many chickens and two peacocks. She enjoys reading, writing, and horseback riding. Her favorite part of working at GVH is learning new things each day.

Morgan | Certified Veterinary Assistant

Morgan is originally from Beamont, Texas, but moved to Colorado in 2016. She received her certification as Veterinary Technician Assistant from the Community College of Denver, and is currently working toward her Veterinary Technician degree.

Morgan has been married for 7 years. She and her husband have two fur babies: Xena the pit bull, and Rillo the dachshund. She has been with GVH since the beginning of 2018 and enjoys learning about exotic animals.

Brennan’s interests include video games, comic books, and tattoos & piercings. She enjoys being a part of the GVH family because she loves working with a team that loves animals as much as she does.

Kayla is another one of our friendly front-desk faces! However, she is currently studying to become a Certified Veterinary Technician at Bel Rea institute to help with your pet’s healthcare in a different way. She has a “zoo” at home, including cats, dogs, ferrets and sugar gliders.

Kayla loves to watch movies (specifically, the Marvel series!). She loves working at GVH because of the wide variety of pets that we get to work with.
